GT1 was set up in 2015 for children and young people with Type 1 Diabetes. Each time we meet, children will have the option to join in with a planned craft activity, or create their own art in a relaxed environment, whilst their parents supervise their children, chat and support each other as well.
We meet once a month in Horsham to relax and have fun together. There are games to play, a comfy seating area to chill out and chat, and a variety of art and craft activities or competitions to join in with and it’s FREE!!
You don’t need to commit to coming every month, there are no joining fees and there is no pressure to engage in any of the activities when you are with us. It’s simply a safe and fun place to be with people who understand the challenges that we all face. Simply put – just turn up and see if it’s for you.
GT1 is not a registered charity (owing to fundraising not being its main concern). However, GT1 does also look at creative ways of fundraising for recognised charities like JDRF by using images of the craft items that are made in GT1 sessions. All ideas are welcome!
